A Long Return, also known by the title A Largo Retorno in Spain, is a 1975 Spanish romantic film, directed by Pedro Lazaga.
An architect David Ortega (Mark Burns) finally finds his true love after a lifetime of searching. They marry, and soon afterward discover that his woman Anna (Lynne Frederick) has an incurable disease. She is frozen until the day her condition is curable. That day does not come until 40 years later. The architect is now quite old, and though their love is as strong as ever, he dies soon afterwards.
The film was recorded in Madrid, Segovia, Venice and Mallorca, bettwen 1974-1975. It was released in Spain on May 26, 1975, and then was only available in the mid 80’s on PAL VCR. It was released in English, Spanish, and English with Greek Subtitles. It was never available in the US, and copies are completely out of print and near impossible to find anywhere.
